Lake Elmo <br />Agenda Section: Finance <br />No. 5B <br />City Council <br />09-05-2006 <br />Agenda Item: Set Truth n' Taxation Hearing Dates <br />Background Information for September 06, 2005: <br />The City conducts a Truth in Taxation Public Hearing for the 2007 General Fund Budget and the final 2006 Tax <br />Leery, collectible in 2007. The time frame for these Hearing Date is between November 29" and December 20t' and <br />cannot be conducted on the same dates the County, School District and any other Special Taxing District holds their <br />hearings (see enclosed calendar). Due to the limited available dates, I recommend that the Council consider Monday <br />December 4°i at 7:00pm and a Continuation Hearing (if necessary) on Monday December I I"' at 5:30 for the Truth in <br />Taxation Public Hearings. <br />Action Items: Motion to Adopt Resolution No. 2006-089 <br />Person responsible: <br />setting the Truth in Taxation Public Hearing dates for the <br />Tom Bouthilet <br />2006 Tax Levy and the 2007 Budget. <br />Attachments: Resolution 2006-089 <br />Calendar of Hearing Dates <br />
