APPROVED AS AMLiDED JUNE 5, 2007 <br />City of Lake Elmo <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 15, 2007 <br />Mayor Johnston called the meeting to order at 7 PM. <br />Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Present: Mayor Johnston, Council Members DeLapp, Johnson, Park, Smith. <br />Also Present: City Administrator Hoyt, Finance Director Bouthilet, City Attorney Filla, <br />Fire Chief Malmquist, City Engineer Griffin, Assistant City Engineer Stempski, City <br />Clerk Lumby, Recording Secretary Luczak. <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Motion: Council Member Johnson moved approval of the May 15, 2007, agenda as <br />amended Council Member Smith seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Approval of the April 17, 2007 minutes <br />Motion: Council Member Johnson moved to approve the May 1, 2007 minutes. Council <br />Member Park seconded the motion. The motion passed with Mayor Johnston, Council <br />Members Johnson, Park and Smith voting in favor; Council member DeLapp voting <br />against. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS/INQUIRIES <br />Joan Ziertman, 5761 Keats Avenue, requested a meeting with city council and staff <br />regarding the Ziertman's concerns on their complaints regarding codes and how they <br />affect their property and adjacent property. <br />Attorney Filla stated it would be an open meeting. <br />Motion: Council member Smith moved to direct city council, staff and attorney to meet <br />with the Ziertman's and their attorney when a date is available. Council member <br />DeLapp seconded the motion. Council members DeLapp, Park and Smith voting in favor; <br />Mayor Johnston and Council Member Johnson voting against. The motion passed. <br />Marie Meyer, 5220 Keats Avenue, stated her concerns regarding the U-turns and created <br />safety issues whereas a traffic signal would not appear to do so. <br />Lake Elmo City Council Minutes <br />May 15, 2007 <br />
