APPROVED AS AML,aDED JUNE 5, 2007 <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Motion: Council Member Johnson moved to approve the consent agenda as identified. <br />Council Member Smith seconded the motion, The motion passed unanimously. <br />• Approve resolution No. 2007-038: Claims in the amount of $144,359.59. <br />• Approve monthly operating report. <br />• Approve Tablyn Park/Lake Elmo Heights well sealing partial payment <br />No. 4, contract A in the amount of $2,565.00, contract B in the amount of <br />$2.621.95. <br />• Approve Tablyn Park/Lake Elmo Heights well sealing contracts A & B, <br />change order no. 1, extending the final completion date from May 1, 2007 <br />to June 15, 2007. <br />• Approve payment in the amount of $47,512.52 for the installation of <br />SCADA system to be paid from the water enterprise fund. <br />• Adopt ordinance no. 97-192 establishing a 25 mph speed limit for new <br />developments <br />PUBLIC HEARING (S) AND RELATED ACTION <br />No hearings were held. <br />REGULAR AGENDA <br />Firewise Prevention program presentation by OakLand Junior High School OLJHS) <br />students <br />Fire Chef Malmquist thanked OakLand Junior High School staff and students, and the <br />Dept. of Natural Resources, for participating in the Firewise Prevention program. The <br />program is strictly an information survey offered by the Department of Natural <br />Resources. The ability to integrate their research, data, and provide positive feedback to <br />homeowners about fire prevention helped the students become more aware of the dangers <br />and hazards. <br />The council thanked the students and staff for their presentation. <br />City Engineer Griffin requested council to consider authorization of TKDA to prepare <br />plans and specifications for the I-94-30th Street Infrastructure Project from the MCES <br />Connection at I-94 (Hudson Boulevard) to Reid Park located on 30th Street. He <br />recommended coordination of all infrastructure improvements — street, trail, storm, <br />sewer, and water main improvements — along Lake Elmo Avenue from 20th Street to 30th <br />Street -- be included in this scope. <br />Lake Elmo City Council Minutes <br />May 15, 2007 <br />
