A. PROVED MINUTES: June 19, 200, <br />REGULAR AGENDA <br />Consider hiring Mr. Moe Butler, Mr. Paul Jorgenson and Ms. Kristine Johnson as <br />firefighters <br />Chief Malmquist recommended Mr. Moe Butler, Mr. Paul Jorgenson and Ms. Kristine <br />Johnson be moved from probationary status to firefighter status. The City Council <br />thanked the firefighters for their service to the community. <br />Motion: Council Member DeLapp moved to hire Mr. Moe Butler, Mr. Paul Jorgenson, <br />and Ms. Kristine Johnson as firefighters. Council Member Johnson seconded the motion. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br />Consider hiring Mr. Michael Cornell and Mr. Matt Smigleski as probationary firefighters <br />Chief Malmquist recommended conditionally hiring of Michael Cornell and Matt <br />Smigleski as probationary firefighters pending passing the pre -placement physical exam. <br />Motion: Council Member Johnson moved to authorize the hiring of Mr. Michael Cornell <br />and Mr. Matt Smigleski as probationary firefighters pending their passing the pre - <br />placement physical exam. Council Member Johnston seconded the motion. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Consider a request to allow construction of a detached garage in front of the principal <br />residence at 8722 Ironwood Trail as permitted in section 300,13. subd. 3C of the zoning <br />code; Resolution No. 2007-041 <br />City Planner Matzek explained that the City Council was being asked to approve the <br />proposed location of a detached garage of 832 square feet ten feet in front of the principal <br />structure at 8722 Ironwood Trail North as required by the city code, The construction of <br />the garage at this location is not a visible intrusion or inconsistent with neighboring <br />properties and the structure meets setbacks and other code requirements. <br />Motion: Council Member Park moved to approve Resolution No. 2007-041 approving <br />the detached garage for 8722 Ironwood Trail North at a location ten feet in front of the <br />principal structure as defined in the attached site plan. Council Member Johnson <br />seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Consider interim agreement with Hidden Meadows Leadership Committee (Rock Point <br />Church <br />Administrator Hoyt requested the City Council to consider an interim agreement with <br />Hidden Meadows to provide the city with conservation easements over outlots B, C, E <br />and F of the Hidden Meadows Development. This interim agreement protects the city's <br />interest in having the conservation easements that are covered in the preliminary plat of <br />the residential development dedicated as temporary conservation easements to the city <br />until the final plat comes before the council.
