9. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />10. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor Hunt reported Friday, May 26; the Cimarron bike patrol will start up again and extended the <br />invitation to the Council to show its support. <br />Council member DeLapp passed out bill HF849 passed on reliever airports. <br />Council member Dunn pointed out Senator Laidig sent letter to Council with update on issues. Pictures <br />showing parking issues on Lake Elmo were submitted and should be passed onto the Village Commission. <br />She asked the staff to get a copy of the VBWD, Best Management Processes. <br />Council member Armstrong indicates May 3`a was the Elected Official's Meeting, and the #622 School <br />District Referendum was passed. <br />11. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />Animal Control Ordinance <br />Arlo Frost, veterinarian and Village Commission Chair, volunteered his guidance on the animal control <br />ordinance. <br />12. NEW BUSINESS: <br />13. CITY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT: <br />A. Prosecuting Attorney <br />MIS/ Siedow/Hunt — to retain Jerry Filla, Peterson, Frain & Bergman, as the lowest bid for criminal <br />prosecution based on his experience, credentials, and have been well served by the firm. <br />Council member Dunn wanted to review Kevin Shoeberg's proposal and to get fresh blood into the system, <br />Council member Armstrong said this wasn't related to the low bid, that the City should be able to make <br />money and Mr. Shoeberg can do this for us. (Motion failed 2-3:Armstrong, Dunn, DeLapp). <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Dunn - to approve hiring Kevin K. Shoeberg, P.A., to provide criminal prosecution <br />services, as of June 1, 2000. (Motion passed 3-2Hunt, Siedow) <br />B. Hill Trail N.- <br />Administrator Kueffirer reported Hill Trail N. continues to deteriorate. A survey will be done, drainage <br />issues, easements need to be addressed, per the 1999 Public Hearing. Vegetative loss was a concern. <br />Council will give direction at the next council meeting. <br />C. Cancellation of the July 4°i Council Meeting. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow — to cancel July 4"' Council meeting, if there are no required agenda items.
