8. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT <br />A. Tana Ridge Escrow Reduction <br />City Engineer Tom Prew recommended Escrow Reduction No. 3 be reduced for Tana <br />Ridge to the following amounts: <br />Site Grading $ 500.00 <br />Turf Establishment $ 2,000.00 <br />Watermain <br />$ 1,000.00 <br />Storm Sewer <br />$ 1,000.00 <br />Streets <br />$20,000.00 <br />Pathways <br />$12,500.00 <br />Street Signs <br />$ 500.00 <br />Landscaping <br />$ 5,000.00 <br />Subtotal $42,500.00 <br />125% Security $53,125.00 <br />2% City Administrative Fee Paid <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow - to approve Escrow Reduction No. 3 for Tana Ridge, as <br />recommended by Tom Prew. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />Councilmember DeLapp was impressed with the filled landscaped islands in Tana Ridge. <br />Tom Prew gave an update on Well #2 for Carriage Stations. The State Health Dept. is <br />expanding the well advisory area near the Lake Elmo Airport. The Health Dept. will <br />send a letter approving the site for a municipal well. <br />9. PLANNING, LAND USE & ZONING: <br />A. Division/Consolidation of Platted Property - Taylor/Schmidt <br />At its July 24, 2000 meeting, the Planning Commission recommended approval of this <br />application to detach approximately 12, 000 sq.ft. from Lots 1 and 2, Block 1 of Waters <br />Bay (Schmidt) and attach to same area to Lot 1, Block 2, Lake Jane Manor No. 2 <br />(Taylor). Planner Dillerud explained this is a lot line reconfiguration for the purpose of <br />implementing the landscape screening plat that was discussed during review of the <br />Waters Bay plat. The property owners (Schmidt/Taylor) decided that the area to be <br />landscaped should be owned by the Taylor's rather than simply subject to an easement <br />running to the Taylors. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution No 2000-030, A Resolution Granting a <br />Minor Subdivision to Kelly Schmidt. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution No. 2000-031, A Resolution Granting a <br />Lot Consolidation to Dianne and Douglas Taylor. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />B.
