Mayor Hunt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Council <br />chambers. PRESENT: Siedow, Dunn, Hunt, Armstrong, DeLapp, <br />Administrator Kueffner, Attorney Jerry Filla, and City Engineer Prew <br />L AGENDA <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Dunn β€” to approve the December 5, 2000 Council agenda, <br />as amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES November 21, 2000 <br />M/S/P Siedow/DeLapp β€” to approve the November 21, 2000 City Council <br />Minutes, as amended. (Motion passed 3-0-2Abstain:Armstrong, Dunn) <br />3. CLAIMS <br />M/S/P Siedow/DeLapp β€”to adopt Resolution No. 2000-059, Claims # 18280 <br />through 18323 in the amount of $66,440.67. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL <br />A. (1)Public Inquiries: NONE <br />(2)Elizabeth Semler: A Message on Drunk Driving <br />Elizabeth Semler, a 13 year old Lake Elmo resident, read her letter <br />expressing concerns about drunk driving and told her story about her best <br />friend's father killed by a drunk driver. Mayor Hunt will send a letter of <br />thanks to her school, Mounds Park Academy. <br />(3) Sgt. Malinosky, member of south team of the Washington County <br />Sheriff's Dept., introduced himself and indicated he just returned to work <br />after being hit by a drunk driver on 100' and Manning and supports <br />Elizabeth's efforts in caring enough to do what she can to make this a safer <br />and better world to live in. <br />(4) Eric Lipman, State Rep Elect and former PZ member, will explore <br />education funding, lower taxes, insure greater control of local planning <br />issues, all extensions of his campaign for the new legislative session. <br />B.
