Appointments to Environmental Management Commission <br />M. Appointments to Maintenance Advisory Committee <br />Administrator Kueffner suggested that these commission/committee <br />members be made "Special Project" members of the Planning Commission. <br />The time spent preparing and, attending meetings, getting minutes does not <br />provide the background or analysis that the Council wants. The members <br />that serve on these committees are very dedicated to the tasks they are given, <br />but with the small staff, there has to be a way to streamline so they are given <br />better staff guidance and support. Kueffner asked that this be given a trial <br />run with an update and review in January, 2002. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp - to direct staff to prepare an ordinance <br />transferring the duties of the Solid Waste/Environmental Commission to <br />Section 210. Further that the members of the current Solid <br />Waste/Environmental Commission be appointed as "Special project — Solid <br />Waste/Environmental" members of the Planning Commission. (Motion <br />passed 4-0). <br />M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp — to direct staff to prepare an ordinance <br />transferring the duties of the Maintenance Advisory Committee to Section <br />210. Further that the members of the current Maintenance Advisory <br />Committee be appointed as "Special Project— Maintenance, Fire, Parks, and <br />Building" members of the Planning Commission. Appointments to Village Commission <br />Administrator Kueffner recommended that the Planning Commission section <br />of the code be modified. The modification would give the Council the <br />discretion to apppoint additional members to work on special or specific <br />projects.
