2. MINUTES: February 6,�.J01 <br />M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp - to approve the February 6, 2001 City Council minutes, as <br />amended. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />3. CLAIMS <br />The Claim for $625 Gunnar Isberg & Assoc, Planning Seminar session will be taken out of <br />the in -training budget. This training was in lieu of sending commission members to Earl <br />Brown Continuing Education Center for a planning seminar. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong — to adopt Resolution No. 2001-08 approving Claim # 18506 <br />through 18543 in the amount of $161,220.19. (Motion passed 4-0). <br />4. PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL: <br />5. NEW BUSINESS <br />6. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />7. MAINTENANCE/PAR/FIRE/BUILDING: <br />A. Update on Maintenance Dept. Activities: Dan Olinger <br />Dan Olinger reported there is a possible watermain break in the Old Village because the <br />water use has doubled. He asked that residents call the City identifying where frost heaves <br />are located in city streets. <br />B. Update on Fire Dept. Activities: Greg Malmquist was called out on an emergency. <br />C. Update on Building Dept. Activities: Jim McNamara <br />Summary Building Report for January 2001: 6 New Residential, 12 Other Residential, 15 <br />Plumbing Permits, 12 HVAC Permits. <br />Jim McNamara reported building permits are coming in fast in an attempt to beat weight <br />restrictions. The Machine Shed restaurant's grand opening is Tuesday, February 20".'It is <br />not the city holding up the building permit for Country Coffee on Lake Elmo Avenue, but <br />its because no site plan has been submitted. <br />8. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A. 50`h Street Design Options <br />Tom Prew reported in his February 15th letter, what he thought the consensus of the design <br />from the February 13`h workshop with the residents. Prew proposed the following: <br />1. A 26-foot wide parkway section, 9-ton design, MSA Street. <br />2. An 8-foot wide trail from the trail within Tana Ridge toTH5. <br />3. Because there will be no trail west of Tana Ridge, the design in that area would include <br />some slight curves in the road in order to break up the sight lines. <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FEBRUARY 20, 2001 <br />
