B. Snowblower Attachment:Dan Olinger <br />Maintenance Foreman Dan Olinger requested approval to purchase the <br />snowblower attachment for Bobcat skidsteer loader through the cooperative <br />purchasing venture with the State of Minnesota. Tri-state Bobcat has the <br />item in stock. The cost is $3,692.00 plus tax of $239.98 for a total of <br />$3,931.98. There is $15,000 in the 2001 budget for miscellaneous purchases <br />under capital outlay budget. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong — to approve the purchase of a snowblower <br />attachment for the Bobcat skidsteer loader through the cooperative <br />purchasing center with the State of Minnesota from Tri-state Bobcat in the <br />amount of $3,692.00, plus tax of $239.98 for a total of $3,031.98 out of the <br />capital outlay budget. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />Dan reported the City has been using 20,000 gallons of water in the last two <br />weeks. They have to get a loader or bobcat to clean storm drains without <br />tearing the riprap. Some streets have become ruddy because the water cannot <br />get off the streets. Tom Prew will work with Dan to incorporate in a street <br />standard policy for this summer and a report on how to deal with rising <br />swales and move riprap project plan. The Council thanked the crew for <br />keeping the roads in incredible good shape. <br />Leslie's Carpet store filled up with water again. The Maintenance Dept. took <br />dirt out of the swale, but cannot get it to drain between house and store. <br />M/S/P Dunn/Siedow — to look into issue and have Tom Prew figure out what <br />needs to happen, whose responsibility it is, and talk to Leslie's Floor Decor <br />about a solution. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />Washington County Public Works will not gravel roads until May I't <br />8. CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />A.
