(Motion passed
5-0).
4. PUBLIC INQUIRIESANFORMATIONAL
Gloria Knoblauch, 918131 St. N., asked when is the Council going to meet
in a workshop with business owners to settle differences? City Planner
Dillerud responded he is not ready and will be bringing the architectural
guidelines for the Old Village to a future meeting.
William Cheney, 2632 Lisbon Ave. Ct. N., voiced his concern on road safety
in Heritage Farms and provided pictures of cars parked on both sides of the
road. When cars are parked along both sides of these narrow roads, vehicles
cannot make it through, nor could emergency vehicles. It is a dangerous
situation because you would not be able to see children running out between
cars. The green areas have been used as parking lots. The Council pointed
out parking on the common ground would be discussed with the
Homeowners Association.
Administrator Kueffner stated it was the intent to limit the parking because
of the narrow roads in the OP developments, but it was not done. Staff
could draft a resolution restricting parking on one side of the street. A
committee was appointed to look into curbs, cul-de-sacs, and width of
streets.
LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 5, 2001 2
