PUBLIC INQUIRIES/INFORMATIONAL
A. Inwood Avenue Corridor Issues
Donald Wisniewski, Washington County Engineer, reported the County
Board approved the installation of all -way stops at the intersections of
CSAH13 and I-94 North Ramps, and CSAH 13 & 4th Street/Hudson Blvd.
These stop signs are being installed as an interim measure until traffic
signals can be installed in 2002.The County believes that traffic signals are a
better solution at these intersections due to the traffic volumes currently, and
expected to be experienced on CSAH13.
The County asked Council to reconsider a plan for a signal to control lanes
in all 4 directions and made as a proj ect of the 3 to bid out. Mr. Wisniewski
explained limited access headed west would result in an a.m. and p.m.
backup. If there is any additional cost of adding lanes, MnDOT is willing to
cover additional costs.
LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES SEPTEMBER 18, 2001 3
