MAINTENANCE/PARK/FIRE
Public Works Supervisor Olinger reported the following problems regarding
snow plowing matters: residents should be reminded that parked cars, recycle
containers, and other obstacles must be removed from City streets and the
right-of-way; contractors vehicles in the new developments are the Public
Works Department "worst nightmare", and the crew makes every attempt to
locate them and alert them of the problem. He asked that a reminder be
posted in the next City Newsletter and website, and that the Deputies be
notified of these concerns. Supervisor Olinger also reported that he had
received calls from residents wondering why City roads are not bare, explaining
to them that Lake Elmo Public Works does not apply pure salt to street, rather
uses a salt/sand mixture.
7.13 PARKS
Postponed to February 5, 2002.
Lake Elmo City Council January 15, 2002 page 6
