1. AGENDA: <br />M/S/P Dunn/Siedow - to approve the June 18, 2002 City Council agenda, as amended. <br />(Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: June 4, 2002 <br />M/S/P Siedow/DeLapp - to approve the June 4, 2002 City Council minutes, as amended. <br />(Motion passed 5-0), <br />MINUTES: June 11, 2002 <br />M/S/P Dunn/Armstrong - to postpone approval of the June 11, 2002 City Council <br />Workshop minutes until the July 2"d Council Meeting. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />3. PUBLIC INOUIRIESANFORMATIONAL: <br />A. Discuss issues with MAC/PZ Special Projects Commission <br />M/S/P Dunn/DeLapp â to direct staff to set up the Maintenance Advisory Committee, as <br />a stand alone commission, to review purchase of city equipment and supplies, building, <br />grounds, as outlined in their charter and work with the Planning Commission with the <br />Community Facilities Study. (Motion passed 5-0.) <br />National Night Out Jim Norten, Congressman Luther's organization, will work with <br />Neighborhood groups. Contact him at (651) 730-4949 or at www.NATW.org. <br />4. FINANCE: <br />A. Claims <br />Council member Armstrong asked if the $6,500 claim by Attorney Kevin Shoeberg was <br />for one or two months. This claim covers a two month period. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Siedow - to approve Resolution No. 2002-054 approving claim numbers <br />21800-21813 used for the June 13, 2002 payroll and claim numbers 26 and 27 and <br />21814-21887 in the amount of $625,181.33. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />5. NEW BUSINESS: <br />6. CONSENT AGENDA: <br />7. MAINTENANCE/PARK/FIRE/BUILDING: <br />A. Update on Maintenance Dept. Activities: Dan Olinger <br />NOT IN ATTENDANCE <br />B. Update on Fire Dept. Activities: Chief Malmquist <br />1. Ratify purchase of vehicle from County Auction <br />The Fire Chief has worked with Steve Pott, Washington County Sheriff's Dept, to find a <br />car in good condition to serve the needs of the department. The Council was contacted <br />asking for approval to spend up to $6,000 to purchase a 2000 Crown Victoria from the <br />County Auction held on Saturday, June 15, 2002. The amount negotiated for this vehicle <br />was $6,000. The old car will be kept for another department. The Fire Chief will use <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES JUNE 18, 200tâ 2 <br />
