*The building dept. still needs to work on installation of silt fences to protect the DNR
protected wetlands. In Wildflower Shores there is construction of two new houses on
rather steep slopes and creating running riblets into the DNR protected wetland.
*He did a calculation of what the implication would be of a third of a mile of commercial
buildings and a third of a mile of multi family residential parallel with the freeway and up
from it. Depending upon the kind commercial uses, there would be between 10 and 15
million sq.ft office/warehouse/commercial accommodating 15-20,000 employees. The
next third of a mile, centered by Xcel powerline easements North of I-94, would
anticipate 15,000 new residents.
Council member Dunn reported Leo Hudalla, former Mayor of the City of Oakdale and
of Chisago City, served on No. St. Paul Council had passed away. She asked the
Maintenance crew to make sure the ditches are open. She also pointed out that the bottom
of the sign of "Lake Elmo Fire Department" is falling apart. Depending on how the Met
Council is going, a letter informing the residents could be sent out.
Council member Siedow explained this was a general concept to develop I-94, not to be
done within 14 months, and probably wouldn't happen in the next 50-100 years.
Council Adjourn at 10:30 p.m.
-----------------
Submitted by Sharon Lumby, Deputy Clerk
Resolution No. 2002-063 Approving Claims and payment of interest on GO Bond
Resolution No. 2002-064 Approving Partial Payment No. 4 to Keys Well Drilling in the
amount of $14,677.50
Resolution No. 2002-065 Approving Partial Payment No. 3 to EnComm Midwest in the
amount of $28,165.12
Resolution No. 2002-066 Award bid for Roof Replacements for Fire Stations #1 and #2
to Nieman Roofing Co. in the amount of $99,000
Resolution No. 2002-067 Request Mn Dept. of Transportation to perform a speed study
for 50t" Street N. between Lake Elmo an TII5
Resolution No. 200-068 Denying Patrick Kinney/P.J.
