Letter from City of Lakeland <br />Supporting the City's Comprehensive Plan. <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Armstrong - to approve the September 3`d City Council agenda, as <br />amended. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />2. MINUTES: August 20, 2002 (Postponed) <br />3. PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL: <br />A. Public Inquiries <br />Dean Johnston, 8200 Hill Trail N., stated that while out campaigning he has heard from <br />residents that they are watching the cable broadcast of the City's Council meetings and <br />requested that all of the meetings be telecasted. <br />A Budget Workshop has been scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 5:15 p.m. <br />Hill Trail North Road Issue: <br />Council member DeLapp explained he had previously provided an assessment policy as it <br />regards to feeder roads and cul-de-sacs and had asked the Council to discuss the fairness <br />issue. He noted that the Hill Trail residents have received the City agenda sheet on <br />assessments who thought there were significant changes in the assessment policy that <br />would affect them. DeLapp asked that a letter be sent out to these residents clarifying <br />where the City stands on the procedure in regard to the fairness of assessing cul-de-sacs <br />and living on a feeder road. This item will be discussed under the City Engineer's report. <br />4. FINANCE DEPARTMENT: <br />A. Claims <br />M/S/P Armstrong/DeLapp - to adopt Resolution No. 2002-082, adopting the September <br />3, 2002 claims in the amount of $225,367.06, as presented. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />The Council asked that they receive copies of any future Sand Creek bills. <br />B. Update on Cost of Living: <br />The Finance Director reported that the employees' hourly rates have been adjusted to <br />include the 2002, 3.5% Cost of Living increase which they received on their last payroll <br />checks.
