Carl Berwald North Country Ski Shop asked about the installation of an advertising <br />sign on his property frontage. After much discussion a final motion was presented <br />by C.Abercrombie 2nd by C.Fr6edrich to refer the matter back to the PZC to determine <br />if request met specifications and for the PZC to make a recommendation to the council <br />on final action to be taken. Carried 5-0. <br />Clerk instructed to check with Frank Graham of Northern States Power Co. about the <br />installation of light poles in the Pebble Park recreation area. <br />Conrad Adams brought new plans for a road into the property south of the intersection <br />of Washington 17 and 212. The state had recommended that the new road be moved East <br />of the point where 17 now enters 212. Council referred this matter to the village <br />engineer for recommendation. If possible request reply for the PZC meeting on Monday <br />February 26,1973. <br />Letter from County Auditor regarding burning of diseased elm trees in the village. <br />Council advised clerk to acknowledge with a recommendation that the sanitary landfill <br />was a logical place in the area that is already to top level. Council realized that <br />ordinance on landfill prohibits burning but felt a special variance could be issued. <br />Motion by C.Shervheim 2nd by CWatson authorizing clerk to renew those Special Use <br />Permits that were approved by the council . Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim 2nd by C.Abercrombie authorizing clerk to proceed with paying <br />the bills. Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by C.Watson 2nd by C.Abercrombie a to approve the financial report as submitted <br />by clerk. Copy to public examiner to point out the fact that what appears to be def <br />icit spending is not. It appears to be because the village levy from the county were <br />not available during the calander year. Carried 5-0, <br />Motion by C.Watson 2nd by C.
