Minutes of May 1, 1973 -2- Motion by C. Watson, second by C. Abercrombie that a building peemit by issued to Gerhard Schmidt for a 12' X 16' utility bldg. 100' from his house. Carried 5 - 0. Motion by Abercrombie second by C. Friedrich to issue a special 3.2 beer license to Oakdale Atheletic Association for May 18 and October 19, 1973 at the VFW Hall. Carried 5 - 0. Fire chief Bjorkman and assistant Fran Pott advised that the firephone service was inadequate. Requested approval to spend $400.00 thru 8-1-73 for temporary service through sheriffs' office. Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson to approve $400.00 expenditure for additional service. Carried 5 - 06 Drainage problems existed on Poppy Street this spring. Bldg. Insp. Recommending 18" culverts. Counsel to determine cost responsibility. Village has offered to install 18" culverts if property owners pay for culverts. Counsel to send letter to people involved. The Layton Avenue property owners who submitted petition regarding VFW and the VFW should be added to May 15, 1973 agenda to discuss items in petition. Motion by Co Shervheim second by Co Watson to approve expenditure of $193.00 for toolbox for installation on village pickup - Carried 5 - 0. Motion by Co Abercrombie second by C. Watson to issue Conrad Adam's building permit contingent on his signing the walkway easement papers and approval from village engineer that everything is in order. Carried 5 - 0. Larry Hanson has requested permit to move bldg. (See file for location detail). Bldg. Insp. has examined bldg. and approved for move. Motion by C. Watson second by C. Abercrombie that permit to move bldg. by issued. Carried 5 - 0. Motion by Co Watson second by 0. Shervheim to approve Special Use Permit, for Conrad Adams for a pole barn accross the street from his residence, on a year to year basis for use specified on request, Carried 5 - 0. Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Friedrich to issue a temporary Special Use Permit to Leonard Hanson for a Horse Trailer Sales outlet subject to conditions spelled out by the PZC in their minutes of April 23, 1973. Carried 5 - 0. Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Watson to approve issuance of Colosimo bldg. permit as presented by Bldg. insp. Carried 5 - 0. Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson to approve payment of invoices from B and E Patrol and Bldg. Insp. Mueller. Carried 5 - 0. Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson to adjourn at 10:50 p.m. Carried 5 - 0.
