Minutes of the Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting <br />June 5, 1973 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Mayor Brookman. <br />Present: Brookman, Abercrombie, Watson, Shervheim, Friedrich, Park and <br />Mehsikomer. <br />Also present: Bldg. Insp. Mueller, Counsel :Raleigh and Engineer Bonestroo. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Watson to approve minutes of the <br />May 15, 1973 meeeing as submitted. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie that building permits <br />for Nelson and Schultz on lake shore property be approved as long as <br />they are approved by the building inspector, they have approval by <br />the building inspector, they have approval of the Valley Branch Watershed <br />District and a sewer system submitted and approved by village engineer. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Watson to instruct engineer to <br />investigate the cost of ditching for drainage North of the Mike Ferderer <br />property. Also to determine cost of the dam proposed by Mr. Ferderer. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Mr. Graves and village counsel presented a plan for acquisition of <br />property on 32nd St. North owned in part by Mr. H. Heubner and in part <br />by the village by Mr. Graves. C. Shervheim presented Resolution R73-16 <br />authorizing Heubner - Graves land transaction and asked for its approval. <br />Second by C. Watson. Resolution passed 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to give tentative approval <br />to proposed plot of Donald Durand subject to revision for a road easement <br />to allow access to landlocked property North of proposed plot. Minimum - <br />lot size 18,500 sq. ft. as recommended by PZC. Road through property <br />to be coordinated with village engineer road plan. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Shervheim to approve building <br />permit for Gordon Lundholm based on terms recommendeUby PZC for road <br />easement and Mr. Lundholm furnishing a bond of $500.00 to assure that <br />a registered land survey will be completed and filed. <br />Council has hearing on Lake Jane pumping scheduled for Tuesday June 12, <br />1973 at 7:00 p.m. in council chambers. <br />C. Abercrombie submitted Resolution R-73-17 reaffirming council approval <br />of construction plans for I-94 as originally submitted. Second by <br />C. Watson. Resolution passed 5 - 0. <br />C. Abercrombie submitted Resolution R-73-18 that the Lake Elmo Village <br />Council approves the planned alignment of I-94 by the Minnesota State <br />Highway Department and does not concur with the recommendations of <br />RAPP as recently published. Second by C. Shervheim. <br />Resolution passed 5 - 0. <br />C. Abercrombie submitted Resolution R-73-19 asking council to approve <br />proposed plans for Helmo Ave. construction and authorize publication <br />for bids. Opening set for June 29, 1973 at 10:00 a.m. in council chambers <br />second by C. Shervheim. Resolution passed 5 - 0/ <br />
