Abercrombie submitted Resolution R-73-20 and asked council approve <br />plans for I-94 Utility Crossing and authorize village engineer to publish <br />notice for bids. Opening scheduled for June 22, 1073 at 2:00 p.m. <br />in council chambers. Second by C. Friedrich <br />Resolution carried 5 - 0. <br />C. Shervheim submitted Resolution R-73-21 setting a hearing for Jamaca <br />Ct.I`:mp.rovements_ on July 10, 1973 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers <br />and asked for council confirmation. Second by C. Abercrombie. <br />Resolution carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson to authorize purchase of a <br />scarifier scraper, at a cost not to exceed $600.00, for park and <br />maintenance use. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson to authorize counsel and <br />C. Abercrombie to draw up agreement with Lake Elmo Hardwood Lumber <br />(Joe Rogers) for 10 year lease for parking privileges on restricted <br />village property in exchange for an easement for installation of a <br />watermain and hydrant on East side of village park property. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Shervheim authorizing clerk to pay <br />claims. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Council advised that Lions Club has dedicated up to $1,000.00 for re- <br />surfacing of tennis court. Clerk instructed to write letter of appreciation. <br />Request of Doerfler Construction for removal of fill from Lampert Building <br />Center to be referred to engineer for his study and recommendation. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Shervheim to authorize the insurance <br />committee to issue coverage on the pumping equipment in the pump house <br />at a value of $10,895.00. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Letter and comments received from residents close to Twin Point Tavern <br />relative to problems of 1972 Polka Days requesting that matter be reviewed <br />prior to this years scheduled event to determine what action will be <br />required to prevent reoccurrence of these problems. <br />Clerk instructed to invite Mr. N. Schwartz to June 19, 1973 co(tncil <br />meeting to discuss his Polka Days Celebration. <br />Meeting of June 5 to be reconvened after.conclusion of hearing on June 12, <br />1973 to discuss land acquisition for proposed Hwy. 19B. County Eng. <br />C. Swanson to be invited to participate at meeting. Polka days will <br />be discussed also. <br />Council reviewed correspondence from engineer regarding Tri-Lakes <br />building moratorium. Counsel advised to check out items 3 and 4 of <br />letter dated May 30, 1973. <br />( Motion by C. Watson second by C. Friedrich that rate for billing to <br />Baytown be as follows: Mowing $12.00 / hr, snowplowing <br />at $18.00 / hr. and grading at $18.00 / hr. Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />
