Minutes of Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Oct. 2, 1973 <br />Page 3 <br />Northbrooke Counsel advised that property has special covenants which <br />Farms: prohibit use of property for proposed useage. Copy of abstract <br />should be obtained to determine conditions and wording of <br />covenants. <br />Huebner property: Counsel advised that Huebner property has $3,913.00 in delinquent <br />taxes. If village pays this amount we can get fee title to <br />property and use it for any purpose. If we do not pay delinquent <br />taxes we will have certificate of title and can use property <br />only for park purposes. <br />Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to retain property <br />on a certificate of title basis only and not pay delinquent <br />taxes. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Road Striping: Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Watson authorizing expenditure <br />of up to $500.00 to stripe village roads. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Dayton Hudson C. Watson, presently chairman.of liason Committee, requested <br />Liason Committee: that a member of the PZC be appointed to this committee. <br />He recommended B. Folz. <br />Motion by C. Friedrich second by C. Shervheim to appoint <br />B. Folz to serve on Dayton -Hudson Liason Committee. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Planner C. Watson reported that he and B. Folz had interviewed a number <br />Midwest Planning: of planners to enable them to make a recommendation. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie to approve <br />recommendation and appoint Midwest Planning on a consultant <br />basis. Mr. Howard Dahlgren would be our account man. Rate <br />for Mr. Dahlgren is $50 to 80/hr. and for general engineering <br />$15 to 40/hr. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Outside Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to reimburse Mr. <br />Expense: Bonestroo for costs incurred at meeting between council and <br />Mr. Boland and his staff. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Tri-Lakes Clerk instructed to write county board requesting their assistance <br />County Action: on the Tri-Lakes water level problem. Inquiry to determine <br />what part county will play. Reply to be requested. <br />Oct. 16, 1973 Meeting convenes at 5:00 p.m. Agenda to include discussion <br />Meeting: with Nicolai and Raleigh on codification at 5:00 p.m. <br />Metro East: Letter from W. E. Lundquist asking village position of resolution <br />from Metro East regarding open space development. Council <br />reaffirmed position that if we needed planning assistance <br />we would request it. <br />Adjournment: Motion by C. Shervheim second by C.
