a <br />Minutes of Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Oct. 2, 1973 <br />Page 2 <br />i WALKWAY Fence Matter turned over to engineer to arrange for installation. <br />con't Mr. Noyes asked to transmit message. <br />Tri-Lakes Tom Noyes - engineer discussed with council proposed letter <br />Sceptic Problems: to home owners who have specific problems. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie to have letter, <br />on village stationery, issued by engineers office. Each <br />letter to detail what is wrong. A copy of each letter to be <br />sent to village office so office will be able to check completed <br />work as reported by homeowners. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Claims: <br />Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim authorizing clerk <br />to pay submitted claims. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Radio Monitors: <br />Four bids were received for radio equip't ranging from <br />$3937.00 to $7,876.00. Fire Dep't recommended that we go with the <br />bid from RCA at $4123.92 even though it was not low bid. <br />Currently fire dept. has RCA equipment and have been completely <br />satisfied. Prefer not to go with low bidder Gen'l Communications <br />since they do not have any equipment in area to check performance. <br />Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to approve recommend- <br />ation of fire dept. and award contract to RCA <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Helmo Ave. <br />Clerk instructed to follow through with engineer to make sure <br />Road Plan: <br />Oakdale has written acknowledgement of the alignment of Helmo <br />Avenue. <br />Bruce Groth <br />Bldg. inspector advised to have Mr. Groth to proceed thru <br />Bldg. Permit: <br />PZC for recommendation. <br />Bldg. Inspector <br />John Mueller requested approval to attend workshop at Rochester, <br />Workshop: <br />Mn. Nov. 12-13 on "OVERVIEW - STATE BUILDING CODE" <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Friedrich authorizing <br />up'to $100.00 for attendance at conference. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Richard Jary Building inspector advised that he had examined plans and <br />Bldg. Permit: everything was in order. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie to approve <br />permit based on building inspectors recommendation. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Cliff Weeks (Herbst) Cliff Week representing Crest Construction requested permit <br />Bldg. Permit: to build on lot 16 Berschen Shores. Herbst claim to have <br />owned 7-9 years. Fill required on lot. Only 100' frontage. <br />+ Subdividion of property never approved. Mr. Weeks advised <br />to process his request thru PZC. <br />
