Shervheim second by C, Firedrich accepting <br />Volunteer request of fire cheif to list Mr, John Patton as a member <br />Fireman: of the Lake Elmo Volunteer Fire Dept. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Battle Creek Council reviewed report from Joe Anderlik relative to cost <br />Drainage participation in Battle Creek Flood and Erosion Control <br />Resoultion Program. Report showed Lake Elmo absorbing 0.5% or $6,100 <br />R-73-37: of total cost, <br />C. Watson submitted Resolution R73-37 accepting Hickok <br />report but taking exception to the accuracy of the flow computations <br />and asked for council approval. Second by C. Shervheim. <br />Resolution carried 5 - 0. <br />German Motion by C. Sehrvheim second by C. Friedrich authorizing use of <br />Farmers: Village Hall by German Farmers Insurance for annual meeting <br />Saturday January 12, 1974 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Leo Raleigh Leo Raleigh member of PZC has submitted his resignation, Motion <br />Resignation by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to accept resignation reluctantly. <br />from PZC: Certificate of Appreciation should be prepared for presentati.on <br />to Mr. Raleigh, Motion carried 5 - 0, <br />Energy Crisis:Mayor advised that village would do its part during the energy <br />crisis by reducing heat level in village buildings and limiting <br />speed of village vehicles. <br />Bldg. Insp. Bldg. Inspector requested approval to attend 18th Annual Institute <br />School of Bldg. Officials, Matter will be considered and inspector <br />Jan.14-16,: advised of decision. <br />Heating Bldg. Inspector advised that he heard that Roy Dornfeld was <br />Inspector: resigning effective December 31, 1973. If this is true he thought <br />we should consider replacement and offered the name of Robert <br />Gurber. Will discuss at Dec. 4, 1973 meeting of council. <br />Street Light- Frank Graham has submitted a plan for street lights on Legion. <br />ing on Legion:His plan included a number of variables in style of facilities. <br />Clerk to invite Mr. Graham and residents on Legion to Jan. 22, 1974 <br />meeting to resolve this questions. <br />Midwest Mayor submitted proposal from Barbara Lukerman of Midwest Planning. <br />Planning: Decision to hold up any action until PZC had an opportunity to make <br />recommendations. <br />OSHA: National Safety Council is presenting an orientation on OSHA <br />regulations. Brad Lundberg will attend for Bonestroo and advise <br />village where it applies. <br />Adjournment: Motion by C. Shervheim second by C.
