Minutes of Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Nov. 6, 1973 Page 1 <br />Meeting called to order at 8:20 p.m. <br />Present: Brookman, Watson, Friedrich, Abercrombie, Shervheim, and Park. <br />Absent: Mehsikomer <br />Other present: Bldg. Insp. J. Mueller, Counsel D. Raleigh, and from PZC D. Lyons <br />Minutes Approval: <br />Motion by C. Watson seconded by C. Friedrich to approve minutes <br />of Oct. 16, 1973 as submitted. <br />Carried 5 - 0 <br />G. Thompson: <br />Mr. Gunderson, resident on Janero Avenue, represented Mrs. G. <br />Janero Avenue requesting <br />Janero Avenue, <br />Thompson and four other property owners on <br />street lights removal, street upkeep, and if street is a <br />.,snow <br />private road, how to make it a village road. Mayor Brookman <br />explained that)by petition and assuming improvement assessment, <br />it could become a village road with upkeep. Village engineer <br />is directed to estimate cost of such an improvement. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim, seconded by C. Abercrombie, to place <br />necessary street lights if counsel can determine that it is legal <br />to expand public monies on a private street5for0such a cause. <br />E. Haase <br />Mr. Haase presented request for building permit to build an oversize <br />Blvd. No. Council and <br />Oversized Garage: <br />garage at his motel site at 7676 Hudson <br />Bldg. Inspector reviewed plans and layout. <br />Motion by C. WAtson, seconded by C. Shervheim, to grant permit <br />if garage is at least 15 feet to thearear of the motel. <br />5 <br />rrieK. <br />Zaffke <br />Mr. K. Zaffke inquired as to handling of narrow alley way north <br />This is plated as an <br />Tri-Lakes Farm: <br />of lot 15, Three Lakes Farm addition, <br />easement to lot 16. Mr. Zaffke wanted to personally improve <br />easement. Was directed to Village Engineer to inquire as to <br />possible road way in that location in relationship to master <br />lead to subdivision of both <br />road plan. Discussion possible <br />lots into individual one acre sites. Individual will pursue <br />this matter on his own. <br />M'haha 694 Mayor Brookman noted Hi -way Dept. hearing on purposed interchange <br />Interchange: to be held 11-8. Resolution R73-35 was read and discussed by <br />counsel. Council suggested that a cover letter to the resolution <br />be prepared to cover the discussion of a recent meeting with <br />Hi -way department in connection with future option of a full <br />interchange. Counsel to prepare letter. <br />Northbrooke Clerk read Village Engineer's letter on impact and pollution control <br />Farms: report as submitted by the developer. Letters of objection by <br />1 Tri-Lakes Association and adjacent property owners were also NOTE D. <br />Counsel restated that the registered convenants would be the effective <br />ones. <br />
