Minutes of the Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Dec. 4, 1973 Page 1 <br />Meeting called to order at 7:40 p.m. by Mayor Brookman. <br />Present: Brookman, Abercrombie, Watson, Shervheim, Friedrich and Mehsikomer. <br />Absent: Park <br />Also present: Counsel Raleigh - Bldg. Insp. Mueller - Councilman elect Pott <br />and Mayor elect Eder. <br />Dick Lambert Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie to issue the <br />Pet Cemetary: Special Use Permit issueable only after the recommendations in Mr. <br />Shervheim's Nov. 30, 1973 report are complied with. <br />Carried 5 - 0 (Copy attached to file) <br />Lambert Bob Hoffman requested a building permit for an additional storage <br />Lumber Ware- building 128' X 60'. Word from Bruce Folz is that PZC has no <br />house add'n: objection to building if it meets required standards —and is approved <br />by building inspection. <br />Motion by C. Watson second by C. Shervheim to approve permit if <br />it meets the requirements of the building code. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Charles Mix: Strong objections were voiced regarding the operation of Mr. Mix <br />at Lake Elmo Ave. and Lower 33rd St. N. and this disposal of <br />sawdust and scrap material. Recent fires highlights the problems. <br />Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie directing counsel <br />to send letter advising Mr. Mix to cleanup sawdust and other flamable <br />materials within 10 days. If action has not been taken within <br />10 days counsel instructed to initiate legal action. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Mrs. Sally John Reinberger, Mrs. Herbst and Mr. Weeks appeared regarding <br />Herbst a variance on lot to permit building a home..Lot 16 & part ofLot 17, <br />Resolution Berschen Shores. <br />R73-38: C. Abercrombie presented Resolution R73-38 approving variance <br />and explaining, why and asked for council confirmation. Second <br />by C. Shervheim. Resolution carried 4 -1 with Mayor Brookman, <br />C. Abercrombie, C. Shervheim, and C. Friedrich voting affirmative <br />and C. Watson opposed. <br />Midwest Minutes of PZC show their recommendations relative to Midwest <br />Planners: Planning and Research Inc. proposal for Village of Lake Elmo. <br />Council requested time to consider proposal and recommendations. <br />Clerk instructed to include proposal consideration on January 8, 1974 <br />agenda <br />Minutes Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. WAtson to approve minutes of <br />Approval: Nov. 20, 1973 meeting as submitted. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />
