Minutes of Lake Elmo Village Council Meeting Page 2 <br />Claims: Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie authorizing <br />clerk to pay submitted claims. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Police Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Friedrich authorizing extension <br />Contract: contract with Washington County Sheriffs Office for police protection <br />for one full time police officer. New contract cost based on an <br />increase of 6% over the 1973 contract. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Bike Trail: Brian Crombie advised that users of the bike trail thru Lake Elmo <br />(Washington Cty Hwy. 13) were abusing his property. His wooded <br />area is like a giant outhouse. Further persons were launching <br />boats over his property and had become obnoxius when informed <br />they were trespassing. Clerk instructed to write two letters; <br />one to the Dept. of Natural Resources reporting the incidents <br />which have happened and the other to Washington County asking that <br />they post Washington Cty. Hwy. 13 around Lake Demontreville for <br />NO PARKING. This action covered in Motion by C. Watson and seconded <br />by C. Shervheim. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Northbrooke Northbrooke Farms was unable to present their request since their <br />Farms: attorney had gotten tied up in St. Paul by bad weather. Northbrooke <br />is rescheduled to appear January 8, 1974. Clerk instructed to <br />resend letters to residents advising them of meeting. <br />Pay <br />Motion <br />by C. Watson <br />second by C. Friedrich to increase wages of <br />Increases: <br />hourly <br />paid Village <br />employees by 6%. Senior maintenance men from <br />$5.31 <br />to $5.63, maintenance <br />man from $4.84 to $5.13 and office <br />employees <br />from $2.50 <br />to $2.65. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Corres ondence <br />Letter <br />from City of <br />St. Paul advising of meeting of Battle Creek <br />Battle <br />Joint <br />Power Board on <br />Dec. 5th 1973. Joe Anderlik will attend. <br />Creek: <br />Cimarron: Letter from Minnesota Pollution Control Agency regarding violation <br />of Cimarron in the operation of their sewage disposal system. <br />Clerk to write letter to Cimarron c.c. to Otto Bonestroo requesting <br />that matter be checked out and village advised of action taken. <br />I94 hearing: December 12, 1973 at Oakland Jr. High School at 7:00p.m. <br />Adjournment: Motion by C.
