Minutes of Lake Elmo Council Meeting May 7, 1974 Page 3 <br />2. Volunteer Firemen requested one day license for June 28, 1974 <br />at annual street dance. <br />Motion by C. Abercrombie second by C. Shervheim to approve both <br />requests listed above. <br />Carried 5 - 0. <br />Lundholm- Clerk advised that Gordon Lundholm inquired as to availability <br />Water: of village water and if available cost of installation. <br />Motion by C. Brookman second by C. Shervheim to approve installation <br />subject to Mr. Lundholm signing a contract obligating him or land <br />title holder to pro -rated assessment when service is extended in <br />front of property. Mr. Lundholm would also be required to pay all <br />installation costs. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Revenue Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Brookman to use Revenue <br />Sharing: Sharing, Entitlement #5 ($15,348.00) as follows: $5,700 for <br />Firemen's Relief Ass'n obligation and the balance for parks and <br />park development. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Employee Motion by C. Shervheim second by C. Abercrombie that the following <br />Time off.: be adopted as part of the employee benefits and regulations: <br />Employee absences from work ,with proper notice, shall not result <br />in reduction in salary if the absence is due to <br />1. Vacations property scheduled and accrued according to the <br />approved formula, <br />2. Sick days due to bonafide illness of the employee, within the <br />limits of time accumulated under the approved formula. <br />3. Holidays listed in thq approved schedule. <br />1 <br />4. Up to one day to attend the funeral of a member of the immediate <br />family of the employee (father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, <br />son or daughter). <br />Personal time off for other purposes (other funerals, personal <br />court appearances, etc.) may, at the option of the employee, be <br />charged against vacation time or may be made up by productive <br />work after hours or on weekends, or may result in a reduction in <br />salary due to hours missed, provided that in all such cases, the <br />employee shall have obtained the advance approval of the Councilman <br />in charge, who shall also have authority to make exceptions to <br />these rules when in his judgment the basic policy herein announced <br />will not be violated and when the precedent set by such exception <br />will not be damaging in handling future similar requests. <br />Resolution C. Abercrombie presented Resolution R74-14 Observing National <br />R74-14: Police Week and ask council confirmation. C. Brookman made <br />second. Resolution passed 5 - 0. <br />Ballfield The ball park, opposite the Village fire hall, is used by various <br />Use Rates: groups who have reserved the park at the Village office in advance. <br />The usual charges for use of the park for events which are open <br />to the public without charge are asfollows: <br />1. Per day (including lights if use is continued into the evening). <br />$12.50 <br />
