6 - IS- .' 54 <br />Raleigh will arrange for the necessary follow <br />thru and legal notices and other requirements. <br />Helmo Ave. Attorney Raleigh reported on the latest status <br />Condemnation of the legal aspects of the project. Council <br />deferred action till 7-2-74 on the matter. <br />Diseased T. Horwath appearred to discuss the possibility <br />Trees of becoming City Tree Inspector as per the <br />latest order of the Secretary of Agriculture of <br />Minnesota. Council took no action on the order <br />or establishment of the position. Mr. Horwath's <br />name will be recorded and placed on file for <br />possible future use if necessary. <br />High Water Engineer Bonestroo brought up the idea of divert- <br />ing waters from Lake Olson and DeMontreville thus <br />by-passing Lake Jane. C. Pott questioned this <br />and felt this was a responsibility of the Water- <br />shed District. After much discussion, the matter <br />was layed-over to future meeting. <br />White Sign Attorney Raleigh restated the matter of the sign <br />Co. erected by White Co. on hi -way 12 in section 36. <br />The Council reaffirmed its actions of 6-4-74 <br />authorizing Counsel to take legal action. <br />J & W Boat Earth removal will be investigated by the Bldg. <br />Works Inspector who will report back to Council. <br />Plane Attorney Raleigh stated that State Regulations <br />Landings on such matters as plane landings on Lake Elmo <br />Lake superseded any local regulations. Council <br />instructed Raleigh to write the Commissioner of <br />Aeronautics restating City objections. <br />Park Bond On the motion of C. Shervheim, seconded by Brockman <br />Vote the following canvass of the vote is recorded; <br />YES: 384; NO: 324; TOTAL: 708, thereby declar- <br />ing issue passed. Carried 5-0. <br />Resolution Resolution R74-19 expressing Council appreciation <br />R74-19 and commending the Park Committee on a job well done <br />was submitted by C. Shervheim, seconded by C. <br />Brockman, carried 5-0. <br />Twins C. Abercrobie offered a proclamation in behalf <br />Proclamation of the Twins Ball Club citing their contributions <br />to the Metro Area and expressing the Cities <br />appreciation and establishing a Twin -Win calender <br />period. Seconded C. Brockman, carried 5-0. <br />City Cleanup C. Pott moved to express appreciation of the Council <br />to the NW Bell, C. Craves, and the local Boy Scout <br />troop for policing the local streets in a clean-up <br />effort. Seconded by C. Brockman, carried 5-0. <br />
