R-74-33 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING V.F.W. POST 5725 <br />WHEREAS, the Take Elmo Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5725 and its Auxiliary <br />has achieved national recognition for its dedication to community service projects <br />in that said post has been awarded fourth place recognition among all Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars Posts in towns and communities throughout the nation having a population <br />of 5,000 or less as a result of said post having completed 161 community service <br />projects during the 1973-74 award years; and <br />WHEREAS, said post, by completion of those community service projects, ranked <br />first in the State of Minnesota in the same category; and <br />WHEREAS, said post is the smallest in membership of any post in the entire na- <br />tion to win such honors: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo <br />does by this Resolution applaud and commend Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5725 <br />and its Auxiliary for the honor it has properly received for the great service it has <br />given to this community. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Commander <br />of Post 5725 by the Mayor, together with this Council's congratulations and best <br />wishes, on or before Veterans' Day - November 11, 1974. <br />Adopted by the City Council this 29th day of October, 1974. <br />t- <br />May rd Eder, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Donald Mehsiko @r, Clerk <br />
