MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 1, 1975 pg. 2 <br />Planning costs:Question has been raised relative to planning costs being <br />charged to developers. Counsel presented report indicating <br />( that this was adequately covered by the Municipal Code. <br />Park Dedication:Counsel presented memo on current policy. Copies of memo <br />to Park Board & to the PZC. <br />Road Plan: Engineer given approval to work with the chairman of the PZC <br />in updating our comprehensive road plan. <br />PZC Sub -committee: Question from PZC minutes relative to what differences <br />exist between Oakdale and Lake Elmo PUD Ordinances. Counsel <br />Raleigh instructed to contact Oakdale Counsel and determine <br />the extent of the differences and report back to council. <br />Water tank: Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons <br />that we should take bids and set opening for bids for <br />painting the interior and the exterior of the water tank for <br />May 6, 1975. Carried 4-0. Engineer advised that specs <br />would be available by April 21, 1975. <br />Sewer: Mr. Jensen of S.D.834 asked about the possibility of the <br />Oakland School hooking up to the Cimarron Sewer System. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons author- <br />izing engineer to explore situation and report back to the <br />council at the April 15, 1975 meeting. Carried 4-0. <br />Roads: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to <br />have engineer review the gravel roads and come up with a <br />proposal (possibly a five year plan) on retiring the gravel <br />roads. Carried 4-0. <br />Bike Trail: Clerk instructed to direct letter to DNR regarding dust <br />control in the bike trail in Lake Elmo. <br />Claims: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to <br />approve payment of claims 75176 thru 75206. Carried 4-0. <br />RR Crossing:Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Pout to <br />install stop signs at all RR crossings in Lake Elmo that are <br />not presently posted. Carried 4-0. <br />Richert Gravel Pit:Request from Shafer Contracting to use North exit <br />from Richert Gravel Pit until use of Southern route can be <br />obtained. Matter to be referred to PZC. <br />Board of Review:Clerk advised that county assessor has established May <br />22, 1975 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM for the Lake Elmo Board of <br />Review. The assessor, clerk and council quorum should be present. <br />Adjournment:Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Pott that <br />council adjourn at 11:35 PM.
