W'.UTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 17, 1975 <br />pg. 1 <br />Meeting called to order at 5:03 PM by Mayor Eder. <br />Present: Mayor Eder, Councilmen Abercrombie, Shervheim and Pott and Council- <br />woman Lyons(5:25). <br />Also Present:Bldg. Insp. Mueller (5:50), Counsel Raleigh & Engineer Bonestroo. <br />Advance Refunding: Steve Mattson, representing Juran & Moody, advised that no <br />bids were received for advance refunding of Park Bonds which opened <br />on June 17, 1975. He advised that new legal regulations had been re- <br />ceived and were being examined. If there are no complications he <br />would like to resubmit for bids again on July 1, 1975. <br />Councilman Shervheim offered Resolution R75-19 authorizing Juran & <br />Moody to request bids for July 1, 1975 opening at 4:00 PM at the city <br />office. All conditions,except for date, of the June 17,1975 offering <br />would remain the same. Second was by Councilman Abercrombie. <br />Carried 4-0. Councilwoman Lyons not present. <br />Clerk advised that he had received invoice from the Stillwater Gazette <br />for publication of the notice for bids. Mr. Mattson advised that the <br />invoice should be sent to his attention as this is their expense. <br />Board of Review:Brian Crombie37004-0012 Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by <br />Councilman Abercrombie to eliminate the charge for a walkout base- <br />ment. Evaluation to be reduced by $800 from $59,030 to $58,230. <br />Motion carried 3-2.. Mayor Eder & Councilman Pott opposed. <br />Ken Isakson Question of ownership. Claims property deeded to East <br />Oakdale.but never removed from the tax roles. <br />Motion by Mayor Eder 2nd by Councilman Pott to send a letter to Mr. <br />Isakson suggesting that he petition city to vacate that portion of <br />road currently not being used for road purposes. Carried 5-0. <br />Conrad AdamsMotion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons <br />that plate 37135-2950 be reduced on land by.$2,500 and also remove <br />buildings leaving only a land value of $2,500. Plate 37135-2000 <br />should show the transfer of buildings which will increase total value <br />from $10,910 to $39,990. Carried 5-0. <br />Don Delander 37015-4000 Assessor agreed land was valued too high. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to re- <br />duce land value by $1,100 from $32,125 to $31,025 for land and build- <br />ings. Carried 5-0. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Charboneau 37445-2690 Motion by Councilman Abercrombie <br />2nd by Councilman Shervheim to consider the area as two rather than <br />three buildable lots and to reduce value from $3,265 to $1,360 on' <br />plate 37445-2690. Carried 5-0. <br />James Olson 37036-2850 Assessor recommends that land values be re- <br />duced by $3,500. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman <br />Pott to reduce land value from $1.8,000 to $14,500. Carried 5-0. <br />Constance Smith Requested that assessor reevaluate he building. Her <br />lawyer has already made application to the county for reevaluation. <br />Robert Dreher Assessor will recheck and discuss with the county <br />assessor regarding the amount of useable land. Assessor will advise <br />clerk's office of the final figure for our records. <br />Mrs, Delbert Harrington Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Council- <br />woman Lyons to correct any error and make one lot out of 37035-2050 <br />& 37035-2100. Carried 5-0. <br />Robert Ross 37008-2150 and 37008-0380. Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd <br />by Councilman Shervheim to adjust land value by $825 making cor- <br />rected plate value of $29,530. Carried 5-0. <br />
