MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 17, 1975 pg.. 3 <br />Rueben Lausing:Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Counc-ilman Shervheim that, since <br />it sees no change in the concept from the original SUP, accepts the <br />recommendation of the PZC and approve the request to install a storeage <br />building, pole type, subject to the normal building specification re- <br />quirements. Carried.. 5-0. <br />Security Fence -Water Tower:Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to designate Councilwoman Lyons and the clerk to evaluate the bids <br />(7 received)(from $2098 to $3175) and award to the bidder whose bid <br />is in the best interest of .the city. Carried 5-0. <br />Security Light- Water Tower:Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilwoman <br />Lyons that we have a security light installed in the area of the water <br />tower and the pump house. Carried 5-0. <br />Thompson Disposal: Invite Thompson Roll -off Systems to the July 1, 1975 council <br />meeting to discuss optiions for the disposal of city waste material <br />now that the Lake Elmo Sanitary Landfill is closed. <br />Road Improvement:Council reviewed the different options in the engineer's letter. <br />Matter will be reviewed and an overall proposal made at the next meeting. <br />Eden Park: Engineer concurred with the report of the Valley Branch Watershed <br />District establishing 891' as the high flood mark for Downs Lake based <br />on a current outflow of Downs Lake to the South. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to adopt the <br />recommendation of�the PZC from their minutes of the meeting June 10, <br />1975 and approve the preliminary plat subject to the.conditions set <br />forth in those minutes. Carried 5-0. <br />3M: PZC Chairman Johnson asked reaction of council to 3M letter to Mayor <br />Eder. Letter passed on to counsel for comments. <br />Minutes: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to approve <br />minutes of the June 3, 1975 meeting as submitted. Carried 5-0. <br />Claims: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to approve <br />payment of claims 75322-,75339. Carried 5-0. <br />Water Tower:Clerk advised that thru 7:00 AM 6/17 the city has pumped 10,500,400 <br />gals. of water. Normal useage is approx. 40,000 gals./day. Amount <br />wasted and pumped into Lake Elmo approx. 9,750,000 gals. <br />Correspondence:Letter received from the State of Minnesota -Dpet. of Highways <br />approving a speed limit of 45 mph on Jamaca from 212 to 45th St. N. <br />Lake Elmo is entitled to 2 employees (16-21) under the summer work <br />program for low income families. One youth Jeff Watson has been hired. <br />We are still looking for another eligible youth. <br />New street signs are required for 30th & Lisbon, Jamaca & 36th St. N, <br />and replacements for 47th St. N. & Keats Ave. N. <br />Adjournment:Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to ad- <br />journ at 11.:59 PM.
