MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL JULY 22, 1975 pg. 2 <br />Mr. Noyes advised that the amount of extra irrigation pipe needed to direct excess <br />water to the last depression in the park area was 1200' rather than the 400' which <br />was originally estimated. It was his recommendation, as well as that of Forester <br />Beach, to recommend that we do not install the additional pipe.It is not necessary. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervhiem 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to withdraw the motion of <br />July 15, 1975 ordering installation of the 400' of pipe to redirect water to another <br />part of the park property. Carried 4-0. <br />George Hedges added several comments. <br />1.Now, when we can, we should continue to pump Lake Jane reducing the level <br />by 2' to allow for storage area for 1976 spring runoff. He suggests that at <br />least we get clearance to do this from the DNR. <br />2.Install a more substantial bride over the trench as people have fallen off - <br />the one we have and it is dangerous. <br />3.Keep dirt out of the ditch to keep it open. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Assistant Mayor Abercrombie to call for a special <br />meeting on Tuesday July 29, 1975 at 7:30 PM to discuss water situation, 1975 seal - <br />coating, Joe Lenz Kendridge Addition and other general business.
