MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING AUGUST 5, 1975 pg. 3 <br />Tennis Court: Warren Excavating has been out and repaired court. Engineer has not, <br />as yet, inspected and approved the repair. <br />Tartan Park-VBWS - Clerk advised that Robert Rosas called relative to Lake Elmo <br />proposal for pumping from Horseshoe Lake. Because of the current status <br />where there is no water flowing through Tartan Park VBWS will not take any <br />immediate action. They will discuss it at the next regular meeting. <br />Metropolitan Transportation: Clerk advised that letter requesting hearing, in Wash- <br />ington County, on Metropolitan Transportation Development Guide Policy <br />Plan was sent and that Lowell Thompson called to acknowledge it. He advised <br />that the required hearings on this had been completed and they would not <br />plan on additional hearings. They would holdup their decision on the <br />policy until August 15, 1975 (possibly longer if we indicated need for <br />extension)for Lake Elmo input. Engineer and Planner should review and advise <br />what we should propose. <br />Copy of County Board Resolution supporting adoption of Oakdale as lead <br />agency for preparation of 3M Environmental Input Statement. <br />Budget: Copy of financial statement showing receipts and disbursements for 1975 <br />to date against budget distributed to council asking that they review in <br />preparation for 1976 budget. <br />Area Planning:Clerk advised that Rich Cox, of Senator Brown's Office, had called <br />asking opinion of City of Lake Elmo on Land Use Planning pending legislation. <br />Mayor advised that Mr. Prins, of Rep. Humphry's Office, had called and <br />asked Lake Elmo to be one of six communities to make a presentation at a <br />special Urban Affairs Meeting on Monday August 18, 1975 at 7:00 PM in <br />the Stillwater City Hall. Mayor Eder accepted. Clerk advised to tell Mr. <br />Cox and Mr. Brown to support the Lake Elmo position. <br />Adjournment:Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons to adjourn <br />at 10:00 PM.
