MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OCTOBER 7, 1975--page 3. FLOOD CONTROL--cont'd. -- Local residents Lowell Reed, Robert Nelson and David hardy to be advised of meeting. PLANNING: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim authorizing clerk to purchase 6 copies of book entitled "Local and Regional Planning in Minnesota", by Gunnar Isberg, at a cost of $6.00 per copy. Carried 4-0. BUDGET: Motion by Mayor Eder 2nd by Councilman Pott for a special meeting to finalize budget. Meeting scheduled for 7:30 P.M. October 14, 1975 in Lake Elmo City Hall. Carried 4-0. MINUTES: Sept. 2-- correct Lake Levels to agree with report received from Engineer. Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Council- man Shervheim to approve minutes of September 2, 1975 meet- ing as amended„ Carried 4-0. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve minutes of September 9, 1975 special iiheeting as submitted. Carried 4-0. Sept. 16 Mtg. page 2 change name from Tri-Lakes Sewer Study to Lake Elmo Tri-Lakes Facility Plan. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve minutes of September 1.6, 1975 meeting as amended. Carried 4-0. Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve minutes of September 23, 1.975 meeting as submitted. Carried 4-0. CLAIMS: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to approve payment of claims 7556.1 thru 75602. Carried 4--0. CORRESPONDENCE: 1. Midwest Planning 1975 budget proposal. To be considered in budget discussion. 2. AMM--Asking for volunteer to serve:on various committees. Copy of letter to council. Letter from engineer regarding Schwartz.-Martinco Plat. --Clerk instructed to write letter. to Mr. Schwartz. 4. Letter from Mr.. Hotvedt regarding sewer. service. Clerk to write letter advising that owner must make request for service. 5. Invoice from Bituminous Surfacing for Sealcoating for $6,230.04. Letter from engineer indicating total cost of $5,496.53. Copy of engineer request for 1st and final payment sent to Bituminous Surfacing for approval before payment of claim. 6. Copy of Deferred Compensation Plan passed out. Council to decide on action to be takenn WATER: Clerk requested engineer to arrange for increase in limit in amount of water Lake Elmo can use from its well. Present limit 22 million gals. Anticipated 1975 useage 30 million gals. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott to adjourn at 11:09 P.M. Carried 4-0.
