MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO COUNCIL MEETING October 7, 1975 -- page 2. <br />PARK PROGRESS REPORT: Dave Morgan reported on current status of park <br />development. (see attached report for detail) <br />The Corp of Engineers had their training session <br />and accomplished considerable grading. <br />Additional work is needed. Corp has indicated <br />a desire to return as this proved to be a good <br />training program. A culvert is needed at the <br />graded entrance. Well for Pebble Park is a <br />necessity to permit flooding for hockey in the <br />winter and watering grass for ballfields in <br />summer. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Council- <br />woman Lyons to invite bids on entry way to <br />Sunfish Park area. Engineer to develop sufficient <br />plan so bidders will be aware of project to be <br />completed. Carried 4-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman <br />Shervheim authorizing 1--completion of entrance <br />to Pebble Park, including installation of culvert, <br />2. contact NSP recrardina installation of service <br />to Pebble Park pump. and 3. Request county to <br />furnish fill along road to Demontreville North <br />Shore Strip to allow for off road parking. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />FLOOD CONTROL: Tom Noyes advised that the Interim Plan had <br />been presented to VBWD and would be discussed <br />at their meeting October 9, 1975 in Lake Elmo <br />City Hall. Lake Elmo counsel, engineer and as <br />many members of council as possible should attend. <br />Lake levels as of October 7, 1975 show the <br />following changes since 9/23/75. <br />Long Lake South down from 938.23 to 938.02 <br />Olson Lake down 929.62 to 929.47 <br />Deer Pond holding even <br />Lake Jane down 921.43 to 921.40 <br />Sunfish up 890.93 to 891.01 <br />Bridge over Hedges ditch not completed. Engineer <br />instructed to hire it completed. <br />Culvert at Eagle Point Fork still not in place. <br />Complaints received that Deer Pond Trail has <br />not been adequately swept. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman <br />Shervheim to have area in Deer Pond Trail used <br />for flood control, dug out and suitable fill <br />brought in and then have area patched. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Motion by Mayor Eder 2nd by Councilman Pott <br />that council meet in special session on Saturday <br />October 11, 1975 at the Eagle Point culvert site <br />to discuss installation of culvert. Carried 4-0. <br />
