R-75-33 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING FACILITIES PLAN -ALTERNATE 3 <br />OF THE LAKE ELMO-TRI LAKES INTERCEPTOR STUDY <br />WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Waste Control Commission has prepared a Comprehensive <br />Study of the problems and possibilities relating to the installation of a Metropolitan <br />Waste Control Interceptor to serve the Lake Elmo-Tri Lakes area; and <br />WHEREAS, the said study proposes certain alternate plans for the construction of <br />said Interceptor; and <br />WHEREAS, The City cE Lake Elmo Planning Commission has studied the said Plan and <br />its alternates and recommended to this Council that Alternate 3 of said Facilities <br />Plan is the most reasonable, practical and beneficial to the City in view of the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, This Council has studied said Plan and the recommendations of its Plan- <br />ning Commission and determined that Alternate 3 of said Plan is the Plan most suited <br />to meet the needs of this City with respect to the installation of sanitary sewer; and <br />WHEREAS, The City Council has determined that the time table set forth on the map <br />annexed hereto as Exhibit "A" represents a reasonable projection of the needs of this <br />City for the installation of sanitary sewer: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo as <br />follows: <br />1. Alternate 3 of the Facilities Plan for the Lake Elmo-Tri Lakes Interceptor is <br />hereby approved by this Council as appropriate and necessary to meet the needs of the <br />City of Lake Elmo and the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission is hereby urged to in- <br />clude said Alternate 3 in its immediate plans so as to provide for the needs of the <br />City of Lake Elmo. <br />2. The map and the time table set forth in Exhibit "A" is hereby approved as a <br />reasonable time table for providing sanitary sewer service within the City of Lake <br />Elmo and said Alternate 3 is hereby determined to be necessary to meet that time table <br />and provide for the stage installation of sewer services as provided therein. The <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission is hereby urged to incorporate the projections <br />set forth in that time table in its plans to meet the needs of the City of Lake Elmo. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo this 16th day of September, <br />1975. <br />Attest: M nard L.
