R-75-36 <br />RESOLUTION <br />CITY OF LAKE ELMO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />A .RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPEED ZONING <br />WHEREAS, the City police officer has reported the volume of traffic and <br />the conditions in that part of the City commonly known as the "Hidden Bay Area" <br />and those areas platted as part of the several Oace Acre plats are such that <br />the generally applicable 30 mile per hour speed limit is not safe; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that similar traffic and conditions make the 30 mile <br />per hour speed limit unsafe in the area platted as Bordners Garner Farmettes; <br />and <br />to <br />WHEREAS, it appears/the City Council that speeds below 30 miles per hour <br />would be more appropriate: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake <br />Elmo that the City Council hereby requests that the Commissioner of Highways, <br />in compliance with the provisions of Subdivision 5, Section 169.14 of the Minne- <br />sota Statutes on the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation authorize <br />erection of appropriate signs designating a reasonable and safe speed limit of <br />less than 30 miles per hour on the following described streets in the City of <br />Lake Elmo: <br />1. Hidden Bay Trail North <br />2. Deer Pond Trail North <br />3. Deer Pond Court <br />4. Jack Pine Trail North <br />5. Windbreak Trail North <br />6. Birch Bark Trail North <br />7.
