Refer request back to pzc for better findings. <br />Councilman Shervheim offered Resolution R76-6 <br />approving rezoning and instructing counsel to <br />prepare necessary Ordinance to change zoning from <br />SFU to General Business. Second by Councilwoman <br />Lyons. Carried 4-1 with Councilman Pott against. <br />Counsel Lammers was requested to prepare a written <br />report and also to appear with council at pzc <br />meeting March 9 to make an oral explanation for <br />arriving at this conclusion. <br />Richard Grossman: Discussed with council the drainage problem in <br />area of 7990-50th. St. North. He maintains road <br />is pitched wrong so water flows onto his property <br />rather than into Lake Demontreville. Motion by <br />Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons <br />instructing Engineer Noyes to research and have a <br />report and recommendation at the March 16, 1976 <br />meeting. Carried 5-0. <br />Charter Commission: Mr. George Hedges appeared representincr the <br />commission and presented a letter from Mr. Kenneth <br />L. Sovereign, chairman of the Commission, requesting_ <br />an election on the earliest possible date. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />instructing clerk to set up the election as requested. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Counsel requested he be allowed to check statutes <br />to make sure of publication required etc. He will <br />report details to clerk. <br />Interim Drainage Plan: The facts discussed earlier in the evening <br />were reviewed. Citizens were allowed to ask questions <br />and make comments. Basically nothing constructive <br />was suggested. All reaction pressed the council <br />to take some action or accept responsibility for <br />what probably will happen. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />authorizing counsel to file the application for <br />approval of the Interim Pumping Plan v7ith the DrIR. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Claims: !lotion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman <br />Abercrombie authorizing payment of claims 76119 <br />thru 76144. Carried 5-0. <br />Minutes: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to approve minutes of February 17, 1976 and February <br />26, 1976 meetings as submitted. <br />Water School: !notion by Councilman Abercrorbie 2nd by Councilman <br />Shervheim authorizing expenditure of $25.00 registra- <br />tion fee and $5.00 exam fee for Elmer Richert to <br />attend water school and take exam as a class C <br />operator. Carried 5-0. <br />
