Minutes of the Lake E1moCity Council Meeting, Mav 4, 1976 -- pg. 3 <br />Claims: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons <br />authorizing clerk to pay claims 762.30 thru 76280. Carried 5-0. <br />Election: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2n6 by Councilman Abercrombie <br />to approve report of election judges of the Special Election <br />rejecting the proposed charter 483 - 208. Carried 5-n. <br />Correspondence: Council reminded that Board of Review for Lake Flmo <br />is scheduled May 21, 1976, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. <br />Letter from Apex Contracting, INc. relative to condition <br />of paint job on water tower. Apex suggested an independent <br />source inspect the work and have him determine responsibility. <br />Counsel advised he wanted copy of letter and advised he would <br />pursue with engineer. <br />Bids were received for sweeping from Metro Super Sweepers <br />0 $30.00/hr. if less than 30 hours or 525.00/hr if over <br />30 hrs. Mike McPhillips, Inc. bid S27.00/hr. and T. A. cchifskv <br />& Sons bid $26.00. Bid was awarded to Schif.sky with sweeping <br />anticipated to start Monday, May 10. <br />Bids for class 5 gravel delivered to Yeats and 47th. St. No. <br />vicinity,received from Moelter Construction Co. n $2.50/ton <br />and Miller Excavating (a $2.24/ ton,, Award will go to Miller <br />Excavating Inc., as soon as employee availability resolved. <br />Letter from Oakdale relative to their resolutions 76-19 and <br />76-20 reauestina localized evenina sessions throughout county <br />and a request for benefit/cost of Washington County Felony <br />Investigation Unit. <br />Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman <br />Abercrombie to adjourn at 11:32 p.m. Carried 5-0. <br />
