Minutes of the Lake Elmo City Council Meeting. June 1. 1976. <br />Meeting called to order at 7:37 pm by Mayor Eder. <br />Present: Mayor Eder. Councilmen Abercrombie. Shervheim, and Pott and Councilwoman <br />Lyons. <br />Also Present: B1dg.Insp. Mueller, Counsel Raleigh and Engineer Bonestroo. <br />Bldg. Insp: Motion by Councilman Abercrombie 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to <br />authorize clerk to purchase a calculator with tape for building <br />inspectors use. Carried 5-0. <br />Parks: Councilman Shervheim advised that the estimate for entrance road to <br />Sunfish Lake Park ran as high as $10,000. Paul Emerson has offered <br />to complete work for $3,000. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to <br />accept proposal of Emerson to complete Sunfish Park entrance road for <br />$3,000. Carried 5-0. <br />Summer help program: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Abercrombie to <br />engage Dan Olinger at $4.75 per hour, to direct activities of and <br />work with the two summer employees provided by state program. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Discussion regarding city control and maintenance of VFW Baseball <br />Field. City will continue maintenance as per original agreement. <br />Moris: Request platting 1 acre which houses present farm house but excludes <br />other farm buildings. They will continue as part of farm for housing <br />of equipment and supplies. see exhibit A —dated 6/1/76). <br />Secondly want to split off 5 acres from plate 2050 as a lot for <br />Judy Moris and split off one additional acre from plate 2050 and <br />added to plate 2100. <br />Questioned access of emergency vehicles. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim to approve <br />the 5 acre split off and the additional 1 acre split off from plate <br />2050 with a private road easement. City to have access for emergency <br />vehicles. Approval subject to agreement entered into: by all parties <br />involved. Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Eder to approve plat of <br />one acre as per present minor sub -division regulation but also pro- <br />viding for 2 - 33' out lots (A-B, outlot A being tied to the one acre <br />plat) for easement purposes. Carried 5-0. <br />Lake Jane Hills 2nd. Addition: Bruce Folz—The recreational dedication, 7o of lst <br />and 2nd Addition will be dedicated as shown in original plan. <br />Council and engineer advised that utility easement between lots one <br />and two, Block 2, should be increased from 12' to 201. Bond will be <br />required for completion of roads. Mr. Folz asked if a letter of credit <br />was acceptable. Mr. Folz will return to the next council meeting with <br />revised plans for council decision and information on amount of bond. <br />Demontreville Highlands: Roger Derrick- - Questioned whether the city council was <br />in agreement with contingencies. Word has been received from Ray Marshall <br />that Lake Elmo will receive $30,000. from Dept. of Local and Urban <br />Affairs towards acquisition of Park Property. <br />
