Engineer Noyes he a committee of three <br />to review all proposed new systems with FFnaineer to <br />make final approval. <br />Clean-up Days --Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman <br />Lyons to set up clean up days as follows: Lake Fl.mo <br />Fire Department Parkina Lot on October 16, 1976 and on <br />October 23, 1976 at Pehble Park. Pours from 2:00 A^,T to <br />Noon. Carried 4-0. <br />Dutch Elm: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman Lyons <br />to close the burning site on Wednesdays since there has <br />been little activity. Burnina site will continue to be <br />open, thru September, on Saturday from 10 AM to 5:00 PEA. <br />Carried 4-0. <br />Street Signs --Question was raised relative to who incurs cost of <br />signs in new construction area. Counsel. advised that <br />this is part of development agreement. City office to <br />advise Mr Emerson of his responsibility. City will obtain <br />and install signs at a cost of $30.00 each (Rsigns). <br />Public Worhs Law--1976. Fngineer explained that under present regu- <br />lations the Lake Elmo area would .find it difficult to <br />qualify. <br />Rental of pipe for pumping: Engineer received a call from The T,7aste <br />Vlater Commission, askina if we would rent them the n" <br />pipe we acauiree to pump Lake Jane. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by councilwoman Lyons, <br />that we approve offering rental of pipe at the same rental <br />rate we paid.. The pipes would have to be cleaned before <br />they were returned and gaskets or rubber seals must he in <br />useable shape. Tom TToyes, Elmer Richert or Bob t,,7ier would <br />have to be on hand when they picked up pipe and. make sure <br />they are signed for. Pipe to be returned in a reasonable <br />length of time. Carried 4-0. <br />Street Lights --Councilman Pott raised the question of new street lights. <br />Where buried cables are installed, who pays for moles and <br />installation costs. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilwoman Lvons that <br />City revise the street lighting policy to establish a set <br />of standards for new light installations. There new lights <br />are requested Citv will arrange for an improvement hearincr <br />and then an assessment hearing. The total cost of the <br />installation would he assessed. At the end of each year <br />property owners would be billed for the power. Carried 4-0. <br />Demontreville Fi_ghland s--Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman <br />Shervheim that council approve the Develonment Agreement <br />bets-.een Allied Properties and the City of Lake Flmo and <br />authorize the nayor and clerk to sign the agreement for <br />the City. (Copy of agreement on file in clerks office). <br />Carried. 4-0. <br />
