Meeting Minutes <br />Page five. <br />Ordinance #7410: After discussion and minor revisions, Mayor <br />Armstrong moved the adoption of Ordinance #7410, <br />Fire Detection System. Motion seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Morgan and passed 5-0. <br />Ordinance #7409: After review and much discussion the council <br />tabled action of proposed Ordinance #7409, Uni- <br />form Fire Code, until such time certain parts <br />can be clarified. Attorney Raleigh and Inspector <br />Mueller to confer. <br />Building Inspector: Inspector Mueller reported on the following; <br />a) Heat scanners - referred to Fire Chief. <br />b) Plan checking fee - suggested that only <br />25% of building permit fee be charged at <br />present instead of the 65% required. <br />c) Sewer systems - Planner is unnecessary <br />because PCA is coming out with its own <br />ordinance. <br />d) Lake Elmo School Addition - See Mueller's <br />letter of 2-15-77 to School Board. <br />Confer. on Natural Mayor Armstrong read the Governor's letter of <br />Disaster: 2-10-77 concerning the call of a conference on <br />natural disasters for 3-11-77. On a motion of <br />Councilman Shervheim, seconded by Councilman <br />Morgan, Don Olson, Lake Elmo Civil Defense re- <br />presentative, is authorized to attend with the <br />City of Lake Elmo paying necessary fees and mil- <br />eage. Carried 5-0. <br />I-94: Motion by Councilman Shervheim, seconded by <br />Councilman Pott, that Counsel Raleigh be directed <br />to write concerned parties requesting a delay <br />in any hearing or proceeding concerning I-94 <br />development until all facts, studies, and re- <br />views have been communicated to the municipali- <br />ties and County governmental agencies involved <br />with the I-94 development along with a reason- <br />able amount of time for study and decision. <br />Carried 4-0. Mayor Armstrong abstained. <br />Planning Commission: Motion of Councilman Pott, seconded by Council- <br />man Shervheim, that all incumbent members of the <br />Planning -Zoning Commission be reappointed, <br />Crombie, Lundquist, and Novak. Carried 5-0. <br />Mayor Armstrong moved, Councilman Shervheim se- <br />conded,that Martin Cummingham be appointed to the <br />Planning -Zoning Commission. Carried 5-0. <br />
