February 4, 1977 <br />Minutes of Meeting of Lake Elmo City Council, February 1, 1977. <br />Present: Council members Lyons, Morgan, Patt, Shervheim. <br />Absent: Clerk Mehsikomer <br />Also Present: Council Raleigh and Building Inspector Mueller (9:30) <br />Recorder: Deputy Clerx Park <br />Meeting called to order at 7:37 P.M. by the Mayor. <br />Lake Elmo Lions: Motion by Councilman Shervheim, seconded by Council- <br />man Morgan, to issue the necessary permits to the <br />Lake Elmo Lions for holding of their annual Fishing <br />Contest, February 5 & 6, in Lake Elmo with all fees <br />being waved by the city. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Deputy Treasurer: Motion by Mayor Armstrong, seconded by Councilman <br />Shervheim, to appoint and confirm M. Banister as <br />Deputy Treasurer of City of Lake Elmo. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Park Committee: Councilman Morgan indicated that there are vacancies <br />on the Park Committee with the resignation of R. <br />Louge and others. He moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Shervheim, that Tom Monette and Peter Warner be ap- <br />pointed to the Committee. Carried 5 - 0. <br />The Park Committee is proposing an outing where -by <br />the citizens could acquaint themselves with the new <br />City park on a week -end day the last of February. <br />Councilman Morgan requested that the City appropriate <br />$40.00 for expenses to cover Satelite costs for the <br />event. Mayor Armstrong so moved, Councilman Sherv- <br />heim seconded. Carried 5 - 0. <br />Reed Park: Councilman Morgan questioned the status of Reed Park. <br />After discussion among council members, it was sug- <br />gested that Councilman Morgan meet with J. Eder and <br />P. Scheltgen. <br />Midwest Planning: David Licht and staff appeared to discuss 1976 Plan- <br />ner invoices. His main concern was that of recent <br />statements which appeared in a recent newspaper art- <br />icle over which the City Council has no control. <br />He reviewed the changes or billing relating to the <br />
