MINUTES OF THE LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, APRIL 19, 1977. 10g. 3 <br />Forester--cont'd.-- Gerald Beach reaction to Metro Council ^Iemo is <br />negative. <br />I-94---------------- Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman <br />Morgan to establish a committee of Councilman Shervheim <br />and Pott to examine the I94 matter in light of the <br />opinion, the facts that have changed and then present <br />that position statement to the council at the next <br />meeting which they can then accept or reject. <br />This would include information on any action planned <br />by involved surrounding communities. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Newsletter ----- Motion by Mayor Armstrong, 2nd Councilman Shervheim that <br />each committee of the city appoint a member who <br />would act as a liason member of the publications <br />committee, to furnish any article that that committee <br />may want published in the newsletter. Carried. 5-n. <br />PZC------------- Appointment of a new member to replace Tom Torseth. <br />PZC having problems with quorum. Two applicants, <br />Hesse and Michels will be considered at next meeting. <br />Others could be considered if so desired but an <br />appointment should be made. <br />Coordinator------- Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to proceed with a formal arrangepent with Mahtomedi <br />to share a coordinator or "administrator" for a 1 <br />year period. Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Pott to <br />authorize clerk to arrange for equipment for coordinator. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Correspondence: DeCoster Co.-- If sewer is available it is available <br />through Metro Council not through the City of. .Lake <br />Elmo. Lake Elmo has no provision for supplying Prater_ <br />in this area. <br />Fire Dept. --Robert Dennis and Ray Sachs have submitted <br />written notice that they would like to exercise their <br />right of retirement upon completion of 20 years of <br />service. <br />Parranto--Reauest to remove lot access and ecgress .road <br />to property located at 9352-10th. St. No. -Lake Rlmo, <br />is in agreement but since this is a county .r_oad,matter <br />should be referred to county. <br />Larry F. Lanz --Letter advisina that he was not paying <br />the Flood Project 1 assessment since there teas a class <br />action lawsuit underway. <br />CETA-Youth Program --Letter from Sue Sullivan advising <br />that Lake Elmo would probably be entitled to one mare <br />youth than we had last year. Councilman Pott advised <br />that we can utilize 3 youths and that clerk should <br />proceed on that basis. <br />Letter from Minn. Dept. of Health advising us that <br />Elmer Richert had qualified as a Class C-water Supply <br />Systems Operator. <br />
