Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, December 6, 1977 - Page 3 <br />Special Use Permits: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman <br />Shervheim to approve Special Use Permits 0009, 00013, 1024, <br />1045, 1025, 1034, 1041, 1042, 1050, 1052., 1054, 1055, 1067, <br />1080, 1090, 1096 and A. Schaefer sign. <br />Carried 5-0 <br />Counsel to investigate 9 1023. 1076 will be discussed at <br />the meeting Dec.20,1977. William Hjelmgren SUP still to he <br />resolved. <br />P.Z.C.: Terms of Cunningham, Johnson and Grace expire December 31, 1977. <br />Mayor to contact members whose terms expire and determine if <br />they want to continue as members of P.Z.C. Attendance is an <br />important factor. <br />Civil Defense: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Morgan to <br />appoint Don Mehsikomer as Civil Defense Director. <br />Carried 5-0 <br />Grants: Councilman Morgan advised that the <br />to a grant (50%) for installation <br />courts at Lions Park. <br />Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by <br />authorize Mayor and Clerk to sign <br />Carried 5-0 <br />Clerk to check with 834 (Juran) re <br />the courts. <br />City of Lake Elmo is entitled <br />of lights on the tennis <br />Councilwoman Lyons to <br />the grant. <br />cost and specs for lighting <br />Parks: City has been advised that Brauer and Associates has been <br />appointed planners for the Lake Elmo Metro Park. <br />Forester: Adm.Ass't Whittaker explained that he had discussed a cost <br />estimate for service to Lake Elmo with the Mahtomedi forester. <br />He quoted $2500. complete. Mr. Whittaker will discuss with <br />Mr. Beach before anything is finalized. <br />Audit: Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Mayor Armstrong to approve <br />the contract with DeLaHunt Voto & Co.Ltd. at a fee of up to <br />$5,000. for 1978. The P?ayor and Clerk also be authorized <br />to execute contract for City. <br />Carried 5-0 <br />Sewer Alternatives: See summary dated 12/6/77. Council agreed to re- <br />view the alternatives and he prepared to discuss at council <br />meeting Dec.20,1977. <br />Airport: Councilman Shervheim offered Resolution R77-14, a Resolution <br />setting forth the City of Lake Elmo's position on the Lake <br />Elmo Airport. 2nd by Councilman Morgan. <br />Carried 5-0 <br />Storm Sewer -Chicago Northwestern Transp.Co.: Councilman Shervheim <br />offered Resolution R-77-15, a Resolution approving an agree- <br />ment with Chicago Northwestern Transportation Co. to install <br />an open ditch and storm sewer on R.R.property. 2nd by ;Mayor <br />Armstrong - Carried 5-0 <br />
