Minutes of Lake Elmo City Council Meeting January 3, 1978. pg. 2 <br />Washington County 15: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilwoman <br />Lyons to authorize letter to Washington County <br />Engineer indicating that we have no objections to <br />the proposed layout and development of Washington <br />County Highway 15. Carried 5-0. <br />Energy Coordinator: Motion by Mayor Armstrong 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />to reappoint Earl Goerss as Lake Elmo Energy Co- <br />ordinator for. 1978. Carried 5-0. <br />County Road 13--Invi.tation should be made to Larry Bousquet to attend <br />Special Council Meeting January 30, 1978, 7:00p.m., <br />to discuss layout of County Road 13. <br />Sewer Possibilities: Engineer instructed to come up with estimated <br />costs of possible alternatives so council has some <br />ideas on what direction or directions to proceed. <br />Mining Permits: Hammes, Bergman, Richert and J & 11 Marineland. <br />Engineer has reviewed each site and reported condition <br />of each in individual letters dated Dec. 30, 1.977. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Pott <br />to approve issuance of permits subject.to -their meet- <br />ing the conditions spelled out in the engineers report. <br />Carried 4-0. Councilwoman Lyons abstained. <br />PZC Appointments: Members Cunningham, Grace and Johnson terms expired, <br />December 31, 1977. Mr. Johnson has expressed a desire <br />not to be reappointed. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Morgan to <br />appoint Mr. Donald Moris to fill the position vacated <br />by Mr. Johnson, term to expire December 31, 1980. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Mayor Armstrong <br />to reappoint Mr. Duane Grace to another term on the <br />PZC. Term to expire December 31, 1980. Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman <br />Morgan to appoint Mr. Cunningham temporarily, with <br />confirmation to be based on his ability to attend <br />the required number of meetings. Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Councilman Shervheim <br />requesting the PZC to recommend a policy on attendance <br />requirement which the council can adopt. Carried 5-0. <br />Appointments: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Councilman Pott to <br />appoint: State Bank of Lake Elmo as Depository. <br />Stillwater Daily Gazette as Legal Publication <br />and Councilman Shervheim as Alternate Mayor. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Motion by Councilman Pott 2nd by Councilman Morgan <br />to appoint the following weed inspectors: <br />j Mayor Armstrong, Elmer Richert and Robert Wier. <br />Carried 4-0. Armstrong abstained. <br />
