pg. 4 <br />Minutes -Lake Elmo City Council Meeting, March 21, 1978. <br />MiCC: Letter received from Mr. Dickman indicating that plans to establish <br />a free disposal site, in each of the metro counties, for <br />diseased trees, is under way. A contract should be <br />ready by the end of March, at which time we should receive <br />more details. Sites will not be available until later <br />on this summer. <br />Census: Council would like to review last 3 year growth to determine <br />in their own mind if we have grown a minimum of 200 <br />so we have some assurance that we will exceed the 5000 <br />figure. Decision to be made at council meeting April 4, <br />1978. <br />Clean-up Days: April 29,:1978 at City Hall and May 6, 1978 at Landfill. <br />flours 8-12. Boxes will be removed when last load is in <br />box on each date. Reminder to citizens May 6 location <br />is .Landfill not Pebble Park as in previous years. <br />Water School: Maintenance man Robert Wier received permission to attend <br />the basic water school Apr it 4 thru 6 for Water Supply <br />System Operators. Elmer Richert to attend Advanced <br />Class April 18-20, 1978. <br />Board of Review: June 7, 1978, 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., at Lake Elmo <br />City Hall, A Quorum required. <br />Correspondence: Notice of meeting April 5, 1978, (8:OOp.m.) Room 15 <br />of the State Capitol. Called by State Senator Sikorski <br />to discuss items of interest to local and county officials. <br />L. Whittaker plans to attend. <br />Seal Coating: City attempting to be included with county program. <br />When bids are received we hope to have opportunity to <br />review quotes to see if they are acceptable. '.Chere <br />is a drawback since county is doing the Northern half_ <br />of county this year. <br />Professional Development Seminar: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by <br />Councilman Pott to approve up to $100.00 to cover expense <br />of Professional Dev. Seminar for Mr. Whittaker. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Councilman Pott to <br />adjourn at 11:00 P.M. Carried 5-0. <br />
