Minutes of the bake Elmo City Council Meeting, March 7, 1978 -- pg. 2. <br />Fire Chief---cont'd. -- The fire department acknowledged a letter from <br />the city asking if they wanted to be involved in emergencies <br />in Lake Elmo Parks. They are considering the needs for <br />and will be obtaining needed equipment. <br />Mr. L. Bodlovick, through:Mr. Bjorkman, Stillwater Ambulance <br />Service, asked if he could get a letter from city endorsing <br />him for ambulance service. Question as to what the city <br />could actually do. Counsel Raleigh will check this out and <br />report back to the council. <br />Topal Maps: Engineer Noyes had researched the Lake Elmo mapping,already <br />completed, with 2 ft. contours. There is a considerable <br />amount which has;been completed and maps are being obtained. <br />Engineer was asked how much was really required or necessary. <br />He estimated 1100 acres ($6.00/acre) in area tributary to . <br />Tri-Lakes and Lake Elmo village. Because no budget was set <br />aside in 1978 for this purpose that no action be taken but <br />consideration should be given in the 1979 budget. <br />Flood insurance: The engineer pointed out that there were a number <br />of discrepancies in the report from the federal government <br />on Lake Elmo flood zones. <br />Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Councilman Morgan <br />authorizing the engineer to direct a letter to the proper <br />agency highlighting the problem area of error and asking <br />some reevaluation of questionable data. Letter should include <br />an offer to be of assistance. Carried 5-0. <br />Sewer report: Report due by April 1, 1978. It should be available by <br />first Council meeting in April. <br />27th. St.: Top -Twenty has agreed to put in all the streets in Tablyn <br />Park 2nd. Addition. Cost for drainage area should be segre- <br />gated and a breakdown of costs required in the bid. Who will <br />pay this cost is to be determined, <br />Environmental Assessment: Foxfire-Green Acres. Council asked for more <br />time to review worksheets and put on agenda March 21, 1978 <br />for a decision. <br />1494 Frontage Roads: Council reviewed the latest plans for I94 (received <br />March 3, 1978). There were some questions involving residents <br />along 194. <br />Motion by Councilman Morgan 2nd by Councilman Pott for <br />Administrative Assistant to direct a letter (copy of Mn. DOT) <br />to the involved property owners and ask for any comments. <br />A cover letter should accompany letter explaining city position. <br />If there are any questions they will be taken up at the <br />council meeting April 4, 1978 at 7:30 p.m.. <br />Carried 5-0. <br />
