MINUTES -LAKE, ELMO CITY COUNCIL MEETING, OCTOBER 3, 1978. pg. 3 <br />208 Study: Regulation cover on sight systems. This could have con- <br />siderable affect on Lake Elmo and other communities. <br />Mr. Whittaker to write MWC»Metro Council requesting an <br />extension to allow us to further consider proposal copy <br />of letter to council. <br />Administrator Ordinance: Council requested time to review, will take <br />action at Council Meeting, 10/17/78. <br />Liquor Licenses: Counsel Marshall advised that Lake Elmo as a <br />community of over 5000 population is entitled to 6 on sale <br />licenses. Currently city has 4 On Sale, one of which can <br />be considered as a club license and is not counted against <br />quota. Off sale licenses are not limited. <br />Dog Catcher: Councilman Shervheim offered Resblution R78�-41 continuing <br />the Lake Elmo -Oakdale dog catcher contract for an indefinite <br />term. Second by Mayor Armstrong. Carried 540. <br />Administrator transition: Since Mr. Whittaker Will have added`responsi- <br />bility, because of clerks resignation, for balance of year <br />council on a motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor <br />Armstrong approved secretary assistance. Carried 5-0. <br />Deputy Clerk: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong <br />to appoint Marilyn Banister Deputy Clerk with authority <br />to sign checks for the city. Carried 5-0. <br />Adjournment: Motion by Councilman Shervheim 2nd by Mayor Armstrong <br />to adjourn at 10.40 p.m. Carried 5-0. <br />
